We were presented with ample backyard space at the 64th Street property, yet we wanted to ensure that the ADU wouldn’t encroach upon the main house’s outdoor area. Thus, we embarked on a design journey to create a compact yet captivating ADU that maximized space and functionality. The result is a thoughtfully designed one-bedroom, one-bathroom ADU that feels larger than its minimal square footage thanks to clever design elements such as vaulted ceilings and varying roof heights. This ground-up ADU was purposefully crafted for long-term rental, providing the couple with an additional stream of income while significantly increasing the property’s overall value.
